Press Release found in the Baton Rouge Advocate:
**** System Scale, an employee-owned industrial scale calibration and repair company, has acquired Louisiana-based Central Scales & Controls. All existing employees have joined System Scale, and Central Scales owner John Sanders is now in a senior management role with System Scale. “We’re excited to expand our reach in Louisiana. With existing locations in West Monroe, LA, and Mobile, AL, we felt this was the perfect fit to cover both Central Louisiana as well as the Gulf Coast,” said CEO Harry Dunavant. System Scale has 12 offices throughout the Midwest and South and has been an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company since 1995.
ESOP Trustee and CFO Michael Sale called the ESOP the cornerstone of System Scale’s culture and business approach. “The founder of System Scale wanted to ensure the company would reward all of its employees with exceptional benefits and pride of ownership. We work extremely hard to uphold this philosophy and recognize growth opportunities such as this are only possible because our employee-owners are working toward a common goal.”
System Scale specializes in Industrial, Agriculture, Aggregate, and Laboratory Scales and Services. In February, System Scale also acquired Master Scales of Greenwood, MS, to offer continuous service coverage. The company plans to continue growing and creating jobs in Louisiana and across the South. System Scale will work closely with new team members to retain and grow business in their current sales and service territory. Dunavant added, “We are very pleased with their existing business model and will work to preserve the local customer service culture while adding further investments to create jobs and expand service offerings.”
An open house is planned for customers of System Scale on Wednesday, May 11, at the company’s Denham Springs office, 34624 LA-16 from 11:30-1:30 pm Central.
